Thomas Wake & Hannah? marriage
« on: Tuesday 18 March 08 17:12 GMT (UK) »

Could I please ask if anyone has access to Church records for chesterfield? I am looking for a marriage of Thomas Wake to Hannah  circa 1795 chesterfield or Staveley. I have the christening of their son Thomas 26th  Aug 1798 Chesterfield.

Thankyou

Sheila

There are 7 children on IGI baptised Chesterfield between 1794-1808 Parents Thomas Wake/ Hannah -so maybe the marriage would be a little earlier than you thought

Sorry for not replying, I have been away on holiday. I did find a marriage for a Thomas Wake and a Hannah Glossop 4th Feb 1793 but the marriage took place at St Peters Cathedral Sheffield, this fits the time frame, but was wondering how far Sheffield is from Chesterfield/Staveley. Would still appreciate a lookup of the church records for Chesterfield/Staveley.

Have checked Chesterfield and Staveley 1790-5 cannot find said marriage in those dates, but I did'nt have time for any more searching, so unless you can furnish more information we are stuck, maybe your Sheffield marriage was theirs
