Could someone tell me how to go about getting a Coroner's report and what information it might hold. Were there Coroners in every County?
Thanks

Wiltshire Family History Society have produced a book entitled "Wiltshire County Coroners' Bills 1815 - 1858". They probably have ones for different years, but this would be the one that might have the information you require. I have a copy of the book and if you let me know what name you are looking for I can let you know if it appears in the book.
I am looking for Nathaniel Pride who died on the 6th April, 1838 at Melksham, Wiltshire.

I am sorry to say that Nathaniel PRIDE does not appear in the book, although there are entries for Melksham. Not all Coroners' Bills have been found so that would explain why your relative is not in the book.
Sorry again.
Suggestion - have you looked at fiche of local newspapers to see if there is any mention of your relative's death?
I don't know if there are any Wiltshire newspapers here(Western Australia) but I doubt it.
