Hi,
I am looking for John Pinder in 1851.
John was born in Totley Derbyshire in 1822.
He is living with his father Robert in 1841 in Totley Derbyshire, and on the 1861 census he is aged 38 years and married to Phoebe with a 1 year old daughter called Georgeanna.
Any help appreciated

Hi Ricky,
Thanks for looking for me.
I am not quite sure if this is the same John.
Maybe Phoebe could be his second wife.
I have John and Phoebe in 1871,
and they don't have a Hannah or a Mary with them, but then they could be married by that time.
I would have to see if I can find John and Ellen in 1861 and 1871, to know if they are two different families.

I had a look last night and couldnt see a John Pinder with a wife Helen on the 1861 or later census's.

Hi,
Just an update.
John Pinder was a widower when he married Phoebe in 1860 at Dore.
So I think Helen / Ellen was his first wife, who you found in the 1851 census Ricky, and that Mary Pinder age 10 in 1861 was the daughter of John.
It has taken a while to unravel the grandchildren of Robert but I think I have it now.
Looking at the burial index there are two Ellen Pinders noted, I think one of these could be Helen/ Ellen his wife.
