According to census for 1851 +1861, Margaret, wife of John Cross was born in Rame, Cornwall in 1805. In 1851 and 1861 John and Margaret Cross were living near Chard, Somerset. They had 5 children all baptised in Winsham, Somerset.
I have no other information about Margaret. No maiden name, no birth/baptism date, no marriage and no death.
I realise that this request is a very, very long shot but I would love to find out more about Margaret and I do not forsee being able to visit Cornwall to find out more in the next 12 months.
So, if anyone can help me with this quest I would be more than grateful!!!!!

Hi Helen,
Welcome to RootsChat
Accoring to 1851 and 1861 Margaret appears to have been born 1792 Rame.
On checking the Rame baptisms I can see only one Margaret baptised at that time. Margaret Horn 5 Feb 1792. Of course this is only looking at the parish of Rame not the entire peninsular

Dear Kris
Thank you so much, I am sure you have found the right Margaret for me and I am thrilled.
I have been trying so hard to uncover this part of my family for over 2 years but got no where then a friend suggested I try this site and in the space of a couple of hours I have found out more info than I have in months!
