WRAY'S Building Leeds 1881

In 1881 my ancestor William Wray was living at 1 WRAY'S Building in Leeds, and was listed as a builder. Maybe he built the building  Huh This must have been a substantial building because there are 8 dwellings with in it  Shocked  with a total of 47 people living in them.

Can anyone tell me anything about Wray's building. I know it was situated in South East Leeds in the All Saints ecclesiastical parish, St Peter's Civil Parish

How on earth did you find that photo  Shocked I certainly was a substantial building wasn't it  Shocked I'd like to say I wonder where all the family money went, but I know the answer to that, my cousin has it. Hee hee hee. Never mind, he's a nice chap and I like him alot.

I just went hunting on google ane entered Wrays Buildings Leeds.


I did find on Gazette Archive newspaper aswell some other address that were known as Wrays building in Leeds

Here are those actual address

5 - 7 Harewood Street Leeds

6 - 8 Sidney Street Leeds

64 - 68 Vicar Lane Leeds


All of them seem to be within 5 min driving distance according to my Autoroute
