I'm seeking info about the family of my gt-gt grandparents, Joseph (b1830) and Mary Ann (b.1829 nee Podmore) Crewe. I think they were both born in Chester. They married in 1853 (St Mary Birkenhead).
Joseph was a butcher and at 1871 and 1881 census the family were living in Linen Hall St. Chester.
The children were Mary b.1854, Jessie b.1857, Maria b.1859 (my gt grandmother),Gertrude b.1861, Alfred b.1863, Frances b.1865, Lucy b.1866, Frederic 1871, ?Mertz b.1873.
I would be grateful for any info on any member of the family.

Mary      ~  unwed niece 23 housemaid    ~
James Ellison visitor 70 sadler                  ~
