James HANCOCK - Birth/Baptism Information

Hi

I wonder if anyone would be able to help please.

I am seeking any birth or baptism information regarding:

JAMES HANCOCK (my g.g.g.grandfather) born c1821 in Wellow, Somerset.   

Mother's name Sarah (Unknown).

Possibly had a brother Mark.


By 1841 the family were living in Llanover, Wales but with no father present.


I am interested in the name of James' father.

It is also possible that they may have been Non-Conformists.


Any information would be greatly appreciated or advice pointing me in the right direction to try to find the required information.
