Welcome to Rootschat but not sure why this topic has a poll for voting*. What you need is the birth certificate for Mary Jane Kirkbride/Kilbride (you have both names here) which will give her name, exact date and place of birth, father's name and occupation (unless she's illegitimate), mother's name, name of informant (parent or other person present at birth). From there you can search for church records (if they still exist) if you know the family's religion. Once you have the parent's names you can also get their marriage certificate which will list place and date of marriage, names of bridge and groom & occupations (age will probably be written as 'full age'), names & occupations of fathers, names of (usually) 2 witnesses, name of person who married them.

Hi Daniel and welcome to Rootschat
The marriage was easy to find on FreeBMD
Marriage Jun quarter 1906 West Derby Lancashire volume 8b page 985 Edward Bennett Parry Mary Jane Kirkbride
Purchasing the marriage certificate would confirm her father's name and give other information.
I can see a Mary Jane Kirkbride, daughter of Daniel and Cecilia in the census in Liverpool. I assume you have seen this, but let me know if you haven't?
Heather

PS not sure why this is on the Ireland board - do you know the Irish connection?
Moved to Lancashire, where it seems to be more appropriate.
