Hi All,
I'm trying to find the parents/siblings of my 3G grandfather William Richardson. He was a Silver Mounter in the Clerkenwell area and married a Sophia Gillett. He was born around 1804.
Any help appreciated.

IGI has this marriage entry.
William Richardson birth about 1806, York Yorkshire
Spouse Sophia Richardson married about 1826 London, England.
Cannot see a baptism on there for him or her.
If you post the birth details on the Yorkshire board, someone might have acces to parish records.

Is he the one on the census says born Clerkenwell and his wife Sophia born Hampton Court Middlesex

He is the one born in Clerkenwell and married to Sophia Gillett from Hampton Court (although IGI will say Kingston Surrey!!).
Possible that he was actually born in Yorkshire, but consistently says Clerkenwell in census.

I dont think he was born Yorkshire. There is a William Richardson of the right age born York ,married to a Sophia, but they are living in Warwickshire on the 1851 and he is a tailor. By the way this Sophia says born Middlesex, so perhaps thats the marriage Patrish found
