Help please. I think there may be a connection to some family members in the Beardsley family from my family tree of the Browns. All the families lived and were born in Ilkeston. Information I have so far: John Rawdon BROWN married SARAH BEARDSLEY in 1820. Her father was JOHN BEARDSLEY born 1770? and married to ANNE born 1773? John Rawdon BROWN's father was THOMAS BROWN (1765- 1834) and he married ANN RAWDIN (1768- 1812) in 1787. ANN RAWDIN's father was WILLIAM RAWDIN (1744-1783) and married MARY BEARDSLEY (1736-1813). Her father was JOHN BEARDSLEY (1706?) who married ELIZABETH (1714?) in 1735. Any help with this conundrum would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi,aagain i have the same trouble with my ilkeston familes,Henshaws, One of my ancestors mother in law was also his aunt, and there are others, Henshaws marrying Henshaws!! does not make it easy In case you dont know the PR ,St Mary,s have been Published. Best Wishes Clive
Thanks Clive I think you may have found my missing link. I was not convinced about 1770 for John Beardsley as I had found 1774 on IGI and did wonder if this was the correct one. Thanks for info about St Mary's PR I will have to look on there to find lots of info to get burials and christenings. I have found the Straw family have been very complicated with brother nd sister marrying to different families within the tree. Eliza Strw daughter of Wheatley Straw married Jonathon Henshaw so I seem to have a connection with your tree there. Thanks for your help I wil now go hunting again.
hi Clive I have beenlooking at it again. You were right about john beardsley being marks son. His mother was ann straw and he married his cousin. this happened at least twice wih the straw family!!! No wonder I was struggling. Thanks for the help again. Janet
