Would someone be so kind as to look up the marriage of John J (or T?) Harris in the Jan Feb Mar quarter 1866 in the Coggeshall PRs.
Someone told me that John Turner Harris married Emma Harris in 1866 at Coggeshall, John is a sibling of my ancestor Joseph Harris. A search of Free BMD came up with John J Harris marrying in the Witham Reg District, March quarter 1866 vol 4a, page 351. Clicking on page 351 I found Ann E Harris, Anne E Harris & John J Harris. So could someone please check for that marriage in Coggeshall PRs, January, February and March 1866.
Addition 24/3/08, due to info received from down-under. Can I now also please have another marriage checked in Coggeshall PRs, John Harris & Emma Jepp, October, November or December 1871
I would be grateful if someone would look up these marriages for me, then having all the details I can make the decision whether or not to send for the certificate.
My ultimate aim is to check if John T Harris really belongs to the family of Joseph & Lucy Harris, Lucy's maiden name was Turner, John T Harris is not shown with the family in the 1851 Coggeshall census when he would have been about 13. He is in the 1881 Coggeshall census, aged 43, with his wife Emma and six children. Some years ago on a trip to the UK I looked for his baptism in the Coggeshall PRs but failed to find him.
