Hi , I was looking for any info on Thomas Reed 1810 he married Catherine Oatey b 1818, believed from Germoe area, any information on them would be appreciated.

PS. Just found it, so they were married at Crowan
02 APR 1842 Crowan, Cornwall, England
suggesting more this may be your area, contact the OPC for Crowan and see if she has any banns, that she could check to see what Thomas' parish/abode was.

Burial? Death cert or marriage cert
IGi gives about 3 options, Tywardreath, Crowan and wendron from memory.

Hi Althea, I'm afraid I have nothing on him ie certs, but I have his son Thomas b 1846 Gwinear, I have also found Catherine Reed (nee Oatey) living in Gwinear in 1851 Census, no sign of Thomas so the chances are he has died, or maybe gone abroad ?

OK
So younger Thomas is on IGI bap 13 dec 1845 Gwinear, but born Crowan on census. His FreeBMD rego is Dec Qtr 1845.
It would be interesting if you could see that parish page and it would say whether father was deceased ot not, to narrow your search, otherwise assume Thomas sen died 1845 to 1851
Tried to look for possible deaths but FreeBMD is overloaded

Althea, I have found 2 deaths for a Thomas Reed Redruth area Mar Qtr 1846 & Mar Qtr 1850, so it look likely one of these could be him. Many thanks for pointing me in right direction again.
