Hi Jo,
So it appears we are looking at Edmund b 1821 Liskeard, the father of Sarah Ann aged 4 in 1851 census in St Pancras as provided by heywood. Is there a reason you mention this Edmund b 1848 in Bodmin - Son of Joseph and Jane? I note his father Joseph was born in Bodmin the son of Joseph and Elizabeth, about the same time Edmund was born in Liskeard, so no obvious connection at this stage. Do you have reason to believe he is somehow connected to Sarah Ann born in London - who was the daughter of Edmund from Liskeard?
I see Sarah Ann married Morris Lewis in 1871 St Pancras so it appears we are on the right track with this family from 1851.
Edmund TRIGGS was baptised 26 Jan 1821 Liskeard son of John and Sarah
John TRIGGS = Sarah HITT 15 Feb 1807 Liskeard
Don't know where Peter and Ann come from - they are not the parents of either of the Edmunds mentioned
Regarding the Photo. If this photo is marked great grandfather Triggs by (Your uncle?) can you go three generations from him to get an idea of who the photo may be of?
Cheers Kris

thanks kris, that's all very helpful. i had got in a muddle with the edmunds. peter and ann was just clutching at straws ! edmund in bodmin the same ! thanks for ed's parents john and sarah i hadn't got them.
as for the photo. the originals were found amongst my uncle bill's belongings after his death. they were given to his sister ( since dead ) who sent me (her niece ) a photo copy. his mother was ada, daughter of sarah ann triggs. so it must be the edmund born in 1820 ? looks like a religious person to me.with that beard. grannie ada was chapel, whatever that means and i've been looking in the cornish stuff you've got on here and there was a triggs mentioned in there to do with a religion ( can't remember what now ) will check again later.
i think the elizabeth scantlebury mentioned by heywood could have been martha's younger sister or niece if she had any brothers. another avenue to follow. thanks for all the help. jo ps .thanks for putting my photo in relevant place !
