Hi Tati, thanks for your offer of help. I have very little on George other than his marriage on 21 May 1893 to Martha Tennant. From the certificate I have........age 20.....address Daisy Street, Daisy Bank. I think this is in Coseley. Father.........Joseph who was an ironworker. I have had a little success with Martha,s family but George is proving quite difficult. I haven,t confirmed his birth or death dates or his parents. I do know that George worked in collieries in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The last trace I have of him is son Enoch born 14 January 1918 in Mansfield Woodhouse Notts. He does not appear on electoral rolls after this time and I can find no record of his death or burial. I would really like to confirm his parentage so that I have something to work with when I visit the Staffordshire archives in the near future.

After that, it gets trickier. There are several Joseph Bennetts with a similar profile around therefore I fear you'll need certificates to track the correct one back
Here's what looks like the same family in 1891 Sedgley, Staffordshire Coseley Village 22 Chapel Street 3 rooms occupied William Bennett, head, 25, Boiler Maker Mary J, wife, 25 Martha, dau, 5 Joseph, Father, wid, 66, Blacksmith George, brother, s, 23, Coal Collier Elizabeth, sister, 17
All dittoed as being born Sedgley
In 1901, father Joseph is still living with William at the same address, now age 70, no occupation, born West Bromwich.
