Love Endures Delay

Hi Folks,
The 1861 census has Catherine (5) at 8 Justice lane, Aberdeen with her father William Booth, Mother Ann Booth, siblings Betsy (3) and Williamina (1).
I tried to look up her birth on SP statutory records, thinking 1855 lots of info, but I can't get her or on the SP OPR either.
William Booth and Ann King Grothenwell married 16th Aug 1859 in Edinburgh, so I wasn't sure what birth details I'd find for Catherine (c1855) or Betsy (c1858). I found Betsy born 4th September 1857, father William Booth, Mother Ann Booth (Maiden name King) at 14 Shoe Lane, Aberdeen.
A few mysteries here that I could do with suggestions. Where are the details of Catherine's birth? Was it common to pretend that the birth (Betsy's) was legitimate by saying they were married? Might this be the reason an Aberdeen couple married in Edinburgh, (Ann's sister had already married in Edinburgh, and she and her husband were witnesses down there).
Hope someone can help.
Best wishes,
Grothenwell

Wow,
Many thanks to you both. I'll go and get Elizabeth King's cert now.
The King surname throws me a little. Ann's father was definitely John Grothenwell. She uses King as a middle name in her marriage. The only King connection is that her mother Christian Mackie is the housekeeper to a William King in the 1851 census, Gordon St, Aberdeen (John Grothenwell died 1850)
Best wishes,
Grothenwell

Well
No father mentioned unfortunately, no correction in the first column (RCD is it?).
The only thing of note is she signed her name (Ann King) and in Elizabeth's cert only put her mark X.
Once again thank you Val and Steve
