How do I find Belhelvie/Causeyend area deaths/burials?

William Manson & Margaret Shand Manson moved from Pitsligo to Orkney ca 1858.  Just found out thanks to some RCers that they moved back to Aberdeen after 1871 census but by 1881 and enumerated at:

Belhelvie
Aberdeenshire
Address Causeyend

Margaret is said to have died 7 Dec 1885 and one unverified source says "Pitsligo".  William is said to have died 24 Mar 1896 in Skene (also unverified).

Are there easily accessible records or online graveyards for these areas?

Hi Nick.  The ScotlandsPeople (www.scotlandspeople.co.uk) index of deaths records the death of a William Manson, died Skene in 1896, and a Margaret Manson nee Shand died Pitsligo in 1885.  Should you wish to have a copy of their death certificates they can be downloaded from the above  website at a cost of £6.00.
This payment gives you 30 credits, allowing a total of 5 certificates to be downloaded, i.e. £1.20 each.

Apologies.  I forgot to mention that William Manson was aged 89 and Margaret Manson nee Shand was aged 79 at the time of their deaths.

Thank you Isles.  This verifies death dates and places so that is very helpful. 

Every time I go to scotlandspeople (as a non-paying customer so far - don't use credit cards) I get frustrated.  Even trying to look at their sample records locks up my PC.  I'll have to check with others to see if they have a like problem.

I'll have to see if they accept debit cards and have my bank issue me one.

Hallo again Nick.  Yes, ScotlandsPeople accept both credit and debit cards.  I use the latter.  Sorry to hear of the problem you are experiencing.  Perhaps you could ask for assistance on  the Technical board.

Just to say that my computer constantly freezes with Scotlands Peole site and I have to close it down and start again , very frustrating...  I thought it was just me

Also to say that I have a Jessie Chisholm on my tree, c1840 married to James McDonald, Montrose.

Jessie remarried after James died and died in Glasgow.
