1841 census look up please

Hi,

could some one look up my Ellis family on the 1841 Census please  Huh

They are Robert James Ellis b abt 1816 Stoke Damerel and his wife Jane b abt 1818 Devonport.

They will have a son b 1839, Robert James Ellis, Devon. And may have George as well b abt 1841, Devon.

Robert worked for HM Customs in Liverpool in 1851. But I have Robert Jr's birth certificate, and it states his dad is a Baker. In 1841 was he still a Baker, or did he begin working for HM Customs when he came to Liverpool  Huh

The Ellis family don't seem to be showing up on the 1841 census which is really strange. There is a Robert Ellis living in Liverpool as a (looks Like) Customs Officer but there is no sign of Jane and the children either in Devon or Liverpool.

I have even tried just using the name Jane just in case she is staying with her family and they didn't use her married name. Leave it with me and I will see if I can come up with another way of tracing them.

I have found the marriage of Jane Howell to Robert J Ellis 19 April 1837 and the birth of Robert James Ellis 4th quarter 1838 both Stoke Dameral. I know it's not much but if you could find Jane's family she may be living with them if Robert in Liverpool is the right one.

Thanks for replying. I have them on the 1851 census.

HO/107/2188  Folio: 82  Page: 1
Living at 6 Frank Street, Toxteth Park.

I also have them 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1891 Census. still in Toxteth Park.

I was wondering why and when he changed his occupation. Maybe 1841 census could have given me some clues  Huh
