 Smiley :)Hi every one iam looking for the meaning to p.v in the contacs of a birth which we can't find out what it means .
thomas cooper &mary f/c 10th oct 1802 child 9 march 1972  and another 23rd march 1972 and the p.v at the end of it .
we know they can't be theirs as they were dead along time before but there wasnt any thing for the two letters .
there was f/c and m/c and so

Have an ancient dictionary in the house which I use all the time- gives P.V. as Priest Vicar. Could that be it?

As a retired Haematology Scientist the only Blood Disease I can think of is Polycythaemia Vera.  This is when a person's body is making too many Red Blood Cells (the opposite of anaemia) and instead of requiring a blood transfusion they have to regularly have blood taken from them to keep the blood flowing.
