Hi
Could anyone help me with yhe birth record of a Jane Paull. I can't find it anywhere apart from the IGI which says she was born 1864 in St Agnes Cornwall.(I am increasingly wary of the IGI records of late as have come across quite a few mistakes on my family tree) Her father was Stephen Paull and her mother was Caroline Paull, nee Bray. Stephen & Caroline married in St Agnes Church 7 Nov 1846. They had 9 children (as far as I know) of which Jane was the 7th. Their 1st child Elizabeth was born 1847 and the last Rosina 1870.

1871 census http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~kayhin/72277.html Jane is given as 6 (abt 1865)

FreeBMD there is a rego for Jane A Paul St Columb 1866, which would be a little out...

Althea, thanks for that info. I have a copy of the 1871 census with Jane on it and also saw the birth record of Jane Paull in St Columb but thought it probably wasn't the one i'm looking for as she was born in St Agnes and St Columb seems a bit far away. I may have to look a bit further into that one tho' if i have no joy.

The registration district covering St. Agnes was Truro - but I can't see one there, an Amelia Jane b. 1862 but she appears on the 1871, I think, and not in your family.

1881, jane is 17 (given) so back to the 1864
That batch number makes interesting searching, masses of births, so not just a member submission. Looks more like they are done from 1881 census??

All FreeBMD may not be done for the area, or she could be going by a Middle name?? There is an Elizabeth J.
