Braynion
« on: Wednesday 26 March 08 22:04 GMT (UK) »

I am trying to piece this puzzle together, and hoping that someone will be able to help. I have a John Ann Pollock born April 20 1879,  died 1960 67 Tennant Street , Edinburgh she married a John Miller Braynion Jan 19 1900 St Mary's Street Edinburgh, he was born May 3 1871 Clackmannan, Scotland. There family were Johan Pollock born 1897 she was born out of wedlock and Archibald Braynion born 1901. I have been into Register House and have found a child born 1954 and another born 1950 *same mother same address where John Ann died but she would be quite old to have these children. Can someone help, as I am well and truly puzzled.

Ann

names removed - these people are probably still alive.

Hello Ann

Cannot find a marriager for either Johanne Pollock or Braynion from 1913 to 1932.

Do you have a fathers name on the birth entry for the children.  Is there any indication that Johanne married on her death entry?

FYI

Just back of SP again.  I think you've definitely jumped a generation.

Do an SP search from 1915 to 1960 and you come up with 8 Braynions born in Edinburgh.

As they'll all have the possibility to be alive shall pm the list.  Some are definitely 'your' family and the name Johan and Pollock continues.
There are births in 1932 and 1937 and 1943 to to female children.

John Miller Braynion born 1871, his parents Archibald McNiven Braynion and Elizabeth Miller they were married 1867 in Perth.

John married John Ann Pollock January 19 1900 55 St Marys Street Edinburgh

John Ann Pollock had a daughter and her name is Johan Pollock out of wedlock, I don't have her fathers name but she was born May 4 1897 Moredun Mains, Liberton and died 1960 67 Tennant Street, Edinburgh.

John Miller Braynion and John Ann Pollock had a son Archibald Braynion born March 5 1901 226 Leith Walk, Edinburgh and he died August 28 1958 67 Tennant Street, Edinburgh.

Hello Anne

We seem to be talking at cross purposes.  :O)

The 2 children born in1950 and 1954.  I feel are born to one of the Braynion females who were born in 1932.  That was why I was trying to ascertain if there was a fathers name on the childrens birth entries who were born in 50 and 54.

Not to have their names printed here - but just to see if you could eliminate the older Johann (born 1897) whom you belived could ? possibly be the mother.  I take it you've read my PMs.......
