Harbertonford Marriage Lookup Please

Hi people,

I know this is a long shot but am looking for help to find a marriage for
Henry ELLIOTT and Mary Ann FERRIS

and then hopefully birth details if possible.

I only know Henry was supposedly born about 1806 Totness, Devon and she was born about 1810ish Harbertonford, Devon. (according to shipping info)

They had children Mary Ann 1831
Henry 1834
Matilda Ferris ELLIOTT birth reg. Totnes Jun qtr 1839

and then came to Australia in 1839 having other children after that.

Would love to know more about Henry and Mary Ann and their life in England if there are any good detectives out there!!! Wink

only a submitted entry though
i would imagine you already have this but in case you don't

death. 10th sept 1867 mclaren flat,south australia.
marriage. 1830 habentonford
spouse; mary ann ferris

Yeah I have seen that but thanks anyway.
Was hoping to find the parish record somehow.

That information was published in the Biographical Index of South Australia which is maybe what it's been based on?

Maybe I'll change the subject line of the first post to look for those prs.

Anyone else with anything to add please feel free.

If you go to the FreeReg site www.freereg.rootsweb.com and search in the Baptisms using Elliott and Devon you will find several Elliotts baptised in Harbeton including Matilda and Henry. Fathers occupation is given plus the officiating minister.
Another web site worth a look is Ray Osbourne's site which can be accessed from Genuki South Hams page.

I know I am on your wrong post, but remember the Sharon on Genesreunited?  Well she has replied and would like to get in touch by personal e-mail. She is descended from Charles's' brother Henry born 1806 Harberton, but has other info too.
