HELP TO FIND A DEATH PLEASE
« on: Thursday 13 January 05 22:01 GMT (UK) »

Hi all, can anyone find or let me know how I could find the death of my Ggran Sarah Jane Chaters (Chator, Chaytor) she was alive in the 1901 cenus living in Durham Heworth. The various spellings of Chaters make it difficult to trace the family. thanks Kathy

Have you looked on the various sites like durhamrecordsonline, the newcastle bmd etc? If not google for them or go to Northumberland and Durham Family History Society website for links.

I did look on freebmd for deaths between 1900-1940 and so far there is only one:

Deaths Jun 1902

Chaytor  Sarah Jane  4  Lanchester  10a 174

Hi, thanks for your reply, I have tried all the usual places, I even searched through 20 years on 1837online. I found a few Sarah's but only 2 matched near the dates I  have for her.  One is in 1913 but has the district as Kings N.  I dont know where this is.  The other is in 1915 West Bromwich.  I know she was in Gateshead Durham in 1901 if I could have a peek at the 1910 census I might find she moved. ha ha.
Any ideas please feel free to pass them on I am stuck with this one.
Cheers
