Could anyone please do me a look up for Mary Simon (Simons/Symon(s)/Simmonds etc etc) in the 1841 and 1851 censuses.
She is the nearest brickwall I have to the modern day and I would really like to find out who she was and what happened to her.
All I know is that she had a daughter Elizabeth Simon baptised in Moreton Say in 1816 - presumably illegitimate. The parish record entry describes her as a servant in Smythmoor which I know is very near to Moreton Say.
I've found her daughter - now married - on the 1841 census living in Longford, near Moreton Say, but Mary has disappeared. Until recently I thought I'd found her burial in Market Drayton in 1821 but I know believe this to be someone else.
I realise she may have married after the birth of her daughter, but can't find any likely marriages in the vicinity.
Can anyone please find her on the censuses? I could really do with some help.
