Hello all, Looking for any information on the parentage of Arabella Arnett, she married Edmund Leach in Ely, 1918, just really curious as to whether the marriage data would contain any info on her parents names, and her age when she married! I know she hails from the London area!

Hi,
Her marriage certificate should name her father and his occupation (presuming shes not illegitimate) not her mother though. It may state her actual age or it may just state "full age" etc, meaning over 21.....
This could be her birth reg -

You have to buy either the birth or the marriage cert to get the info. Birth cert is best as it will give her mothers name and maiden name as well
She is not obvious on the 1901 as Arabella or Alma but there is this rather strange entry for Talbot Grove Kensington. All b London - possibly Childs Hill but that's not clear. I suspect somebody who doesn't know the family very well has given the info to the enumerator
Harry Arnett 30 occ looks like scaffold something or other
Mrs Arnett 25
1 child aged 3 = son
2 child aged 12 daughter (either this age is wrong or Mrs Arnett is a lot older than 25)

3 child aged 8 daughter (possibly could be Arabella)
Mrs Arnett can't be the mother of the 12 year old

The birth ref quoted above must be the right one as the freebmd marriage entry shows her as Arabella A Arnett

Only problem is in 1901 Alma is a widow and the 8 yr old child with her isn't called Arabella or Alma, but Jane! (Grace is also there aged 10 and a brother John age 6)
These are other Arnett births in St Giles district between 1887 and 1897 -

Bertha and George F can be found with their parents Frederick and Emma in 1901 census RG13/239 Folio 87 Page 7 Bloomsbury
Grace Sarah seems to be the one with (Francis) Richard and Alma
That just leaves Arabella Alma unaccounted for (not taking into account possible alternate/mispellings of Arnett when registering the births)
I notice you mention she married in Ely and the above family has an Ely connection so worth keeping on record maybe until you send for the birth certificate....
