Hello Can I please request a lookup for Henry Pepper who would have been about 88. He was a widower but probably living with family.
Thanks, Carmel

Thanks for that.  I noticed in the index there was another Martha and I thought there must have been some other unknown relative living with him at the time. It is weird to have two with same name.
Best Wishes, Carmel

Hi carmel

I rather think the first may have been something else !

There does not seem to be a registration for a Martha in 1853 or 1854, nor a Mary J which I thought it might be  Huh

There is a Jemima Martha registered Q4. 1858 - which could be the second one in 1861, and the unamed daughter in 1861 is revealed in 1871 to be Ellen reg. Q2. 1861.  There is also a William aged 7 on the 1871.

There is an unamed female registration in Q4. 1853  -  not very helpful - sorry !

Thanks again for your help.  The unnamed registrations are bound to be them.  I think the families must have had an aversion to registering births as there are 2 brothers of John who had children at Dunton Bedford and at first I couldn't find any registrations.  Then I noticed a large number of unnamed registrations and sure enough every quarter I looked for a birth based on baptisms from IGI there was an unnamed birth to fit.  I guess they weren't expecting me to come looking for them.  Smiley
