Thomas Glover North
« on: Friday 28 March 08 08:45 GMT (UK) »

I've hit a brick wall with this ancestor and wondered if anybody could help me smash through it.

Thomas Glover North was born about 1765 and married a lady called Dorothea in about 1788. They start having children in Bowers Gifford in 1789.

To date, I haven't been able to find Thomas's birth/baptism entry or his marriage entry to Dorothea.

Sadly, he died in 1803 along with several of his children, so there must have been an outbreak of some disease in Bowers Gifford that year.  Sad

If anybody can help at all I'd be very grateful!  Smiley

A longshot, but maybe mum and dad.  Cheesy

From Boyds marriage index.

Thanks Suffolk Sue

Sometimes longshots pay off at a future date. I'll make a note of that marriage just in case....

I think my breakthrough will come when I find Thomas Glover North's marriage to Dorothea. It's definitely not in Bowers Gifford though.

I guess I'll have to be patient and wait until all the parish records are indexed as they surely will be eventually!

Meanwhile, if anybody does spot it before I do, I'd love to hear about it (or any clues as to area).  Grin
