Dan Cruickshank is a buildings historian and he should stick to what he is best at.  He is nearly as bad as Tony Robinson....no he is worse.  That said the first one I Missed and now I am gutted.  The second was absolutely brilliant.  Fatty Foulkes is still remembered on the terraces at Sheff United.  Now how does it go ( fill in the blanks)
Who ate all the pies
who ate all the pies
you fat *******
You fat *******
who ate all the pies Smiley

Other than that the program was a real insight into my great grandparents era and one I could only imagine from the photo's I have.  Thank god the builder passed them to the film buff who recognised them and they didn't end in a skip
