Hi,
I am doing a one name study of the Rossiter family and am looking for information please about the parents, grandparents and siblings of Charlotte Rossiter baptised on 25.12.1824 at St John's, Frome.
Parents are believed to be James Rossiter and Charlotte (maiden name unknown).
Charlotte had a sister also baptised at St John's Frome on 25.12.1825 .
Any information would be greatly appreciated please. TIA.
Best wishes

Susannah and Edward James Fayrer in 1864.

The christening record is on IGI and recorded as Holy Trinity Frome.
I can not find any Rossiters on the Census Returns for Frome but there is an Ann Charlotte who was living in Bath in 1851. She was born in Frome in about 1809.

Hi KateW / Joburg,
Thanks for the posts.
I'm surprised that there is nothing in the Censuses.
Is it possible to see if there is a marriage record for John and Charlotte please?
Maybe if we get Charlotte's maiden name we can see where that leads.
Best wishes

Here is a marriage, I`ve no idea if this is the right James & Charlotte but it just might be
James Rossiter- Widower (Widcombe) & Charlotte White (otp) 19th June 1820 at Walcot St Swithin - Banns

Hi Sue,
Many thanks for that.
I have that couple in my database.
James also had a daughter Sarah, who was christened on June 30th 1823 at Bath Abbey, Bath.
This matches well with the dates for daughter Charlotte and her sister Eliza.
Best wishes
