smallburgh marriage Oct 21st 1825 for bayes eli ward please COMPLETED
« on: Saturday 29 March 08 18:15 GMT (UK) »

Hi
I`m looking for a clue to the parents of Bayes Eli Ward. Maybe the witnesses at his wedding would be a help. He married Elizabeth Rivett.
Thanks
Carolyn

Hi Eileen

What a great result for Carolyn.

Advice please! re: Norfolk Transcripts. Are parish records available on the internet? I've been to the Forum Library and had a look at some microfisch records for Shropham, I found some records for my name but nothing I could connect with. I have an unusual (Norfolk) name and there was a good sprinkling of us in Shropham in 19th century, none now! I know I've no experience at the microfisch but expected to find something that rang bells. I only had about 3/4 hour there and probably wasted a good bit of it, finding my way around and writing down the bits I did find.

Any tips Eileen would be most welcome.

Thanks

Hi Howard,
I have the Dart  Norfolk Parish Register On C.D but Shropham is not on the C.D. it has most of the parishes around Holt and Aylsham.
I know you can be in the Forum hours and not find anything at all!

Hi Eileen, I can`t thank you enough. Bayes has been the bane of my life. He is on the Bungay census for 1841 but died in 1849 so I never had a clear indication for his birth place. As the name Ward is common in Bungay I assumed it was there. Now I have to think again.
Thanks again
