hi,
My g/father, Jack Ernest CAMERON was born in Wellington, NZ on 07/09/1905. He came to Sydney, Australia with siblings and parents when he was about 4 years old.
His parents were Ernest CAMERON(b:@1875 - NZ) and Adela LEVY(b:@1876 - NZ). - I believe they married in about 1902 in Wellington, NZ.
Is someone able to tell me the exact year and folio number for their marriage so I can order a printout/certificate?
I don't know Ernest CAMERON'S parents names but do know that Adela's father's name was Henry LEVY(b :@1837) and her mother's name was Leah (surname n/k - b:@1842).
This is my first foray into trying to track the NZ side of the family down - would appreciate any help/advice!!

Ok,
Henry Levy married Leah MARKS 1868 # 1449
Can't find an Ernest or Adela m.

There is another Ernest Cameron in Wellington gets married 1909, which you may like to take note of so you sdon't get wrong one

Thanks for your replies. Is there anyway of checking Henry and Leah's death folio numbers. I think I found them on the Wellington Burial site with Leah Levy being buried on 24/09/1919 and Henry Levy buried 17/09/1918 both at Karori Cemetery.
Ernest Cameron and Adela emigrated to Australia in about 1907/1908 with their 4 children. It was a theory of my Aunt's that they didn't actually get married as she was a Jew and they ended up coming to australia to get away from the family disapproval!
I have both their Australian death certificates which state they were married in NZ in about 1902.

YOu can order the certs, given you have the exact year you want.
MAybe thats why we can't find any marriage, because there wasn't one 
One thing I have found is that on a school record Adela's birthdate is 13 jun 1876, Porewa Rangitikei School Admission date 25 april 1887, last school Wellington area. Guardian Mr Levy, Wellington
There are several School Inspector reports that come up with her name, for further info Archives NZ Wellington.

Can you have a looka t the school records to see if Ernest Cameron is on there? He was born about 1876 - I believe in Wellington but I don't know his parents names yet.

Yes initially looked at this, but sadly there are many E And Ernest Camerons
eg
Ernest Cameron who was a t Moa Flat School, Alexandra area BD 17/5/1880, father Robert
Ernest bd 25/4/1883 at MOsgiel Father Wm
Ernest Cameron at Masterton 1892 no other details. Ref is Wellington archives ED-W8/13 School INspector returns, there are more of these for subsequeent years but they would be too old for the Ernest you want.
Have you double checked for a marriage in Aus, if things were as you say they could have waited till arriving in aus

Mmmm. I don't hink it is either of those. On certificates I have obtained in victoria - his middle name is down as Hugh on one and Howard on another! His death certificate says he was born in Wellington - but then that's only what the informant puts on it and his parents were put down as unknown. If I can't fien ERnest and Adela's marriage - I don't know if I'll ever know who his parents were!
