HiYall 
I am looking for any information on the marriage certificate of Sarah Tivey and John Elsey. They married at Derby St Peter's 28 Sept 1828.
I think Sarah may have been the daughter of Edward Tivey and Sally Dolman of Melbourne. She would have only been about 17 when she married so I would think there would be some sort of parental/guardian permission needed. The names of witnesses would also be a BIG help in identifying her.
All help gratefully appreciated

My experience of parish registers from that period is that you only get the names of the couple, witnesses and parents came after 1837
|

I know what you mean, but sometimes, if the bride or groom were under 21 then they might marry by license rather than banns and there are more details on the license document which is why I ask for Matlock Office Help. 
Also, names of witnesses are priceless ~ Tivey is a rare name
