1851/1861 census lookup please

I have found James Crighton aged 50 in the 1841 census
he lived in Auchtergaven, Cairneyhill with his wife Ann Stewart aged 40 and
son David aged 8.

I am trying to suss out when James died (so that I can find his parents' names).  I sure he was dead by the time David married in August 1862.  There were so many James's born in 1790/91!!!!!

Hope someone can help

The 1851 only shows Ann and David

Hate to throw a spanner in the works but ages were rounded down to the nearest 5 years in 1841.  James is shown as 50 but could be up to 54
