My Mum made me pretty frocks
|
Hi Sunny Boy
I use the one from this site:
http://www.statcounter.com/
It's free and so are the stats that you can use.
The Roots one didn't 'go' with my colour scheme

I use stat counter but I also use Google Analytics which give you some quite useful and interesting data.
I don't use the Roots one as I doubt it works!

Having reccommended StatCounter this has happened!
Here is an update from The Planet forums:
Today at approximately 5:45 p.m., a transformer in our H1 data center in Houston caught fire, thus requiring us to take down all generators as instructed by the fire department. All servers are down.
We are working with the fire department, with our facilities staff on site, to assess the situation.
To keep you updated, we will send messages every 15 minutes in Orbit and here in our forum. We continue to work to restore full service. This is the first time that I have seen the site down!
Hope its not the RootsChat situation over again!
Andy

The main names that I am researching into at the moment are Cadman,(originating from Bulkington, Warwickshire), Smedley, (Leicestershire and Derbyshire), Paynes (Leicestershire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire) and Udall - you will also find several other names on my web page. I look forward to E-Mails from anyone who would like to share or talk about our family history.

Portrait of the genealogist as a young man

It's a fortnight since my last question about the future of the rootschat webspace. So, like a dog with a bone, I am asking again - is it coming back or not?

I'd give up and get a proper site like I did Julian. As I said before, there are only so many times a girl (or boy) can take being ignored.

Hi compadres
Even if we never get it back again, it would be nice to just have a little bit of space for a home page that would direct people to my new site.
My rootschat address is still showing on G**gle and it doesn't look very good with that 'not found' notice.

I used to have a lot of search hits to my RC site - a lot of frustrated people no doubt since November.
I'd still like an answer though
