I use Stat Counter.  You can find details here:

http://www.statcounter.com/

It's free and you can have it visible, in many custom settings or invisible. Many useful live stats. Extremely easy to set up.

You can see it in operation on my web pages here:

Hi Sunny Boy

I use the one from this site:

http://www.statcounter.com/

It's free and so are the stats that you can use.

The Roots one didn't 'go' with my colour scheme  Grin

I use stat counter but I also use Google Analytics which give you some quite useful and interesting data.

I don't use the Roots one as I doubt it works!  Sad

I use the AddFreeStats.com facility and have done so for the past eight years. Their site has a lot of adverts on it but if you can put up with those then I have found their stats to be very informative and easy to read, supplying me with all I could ever really want. I never use counters on my website; doesn't look professional and it directly tells others how few visitors you get if you actually don't get many.
AddFreeStats code can be added to any page and all you get is a little logo; not a counter. You can block people from clicking on it and accessing your figures.

Having reccommended StatCounter this has happened!

Here is an update from The Planet forums:

Today at approximately 5:45 p.m., a transformer in our H1 data center in Houston caught fire, thus requiring us to take down all generators as instructed by the fire department. All servers are down.

We are working with the fire department, with our facilities staff on site, to assess the situation.

To keep you updated, we will send messages every 15 minutes in Orbit and here in our forum.
We continue to work to restore full service.

This is the first time that I have seen the site down!

Hope its not the RootsChat situation over again!

It's a fortnight since my last question about the future of the rootschat webspace.  So, like a dog with a bone, I am asking again - is it coming back or not?

I'd give up and get a proper site like I did Julian.  Cry  As I said before, there are only so many times a girl (or boy) can take being ignored. Angry Angry

I agree Kerry.  On this subject we just seem to "go round in ever decreasing circles".

Time to move on.

Hi compadres

Even if we never get it back again, it would be nice to just have a little bit of space for a home page that would direct people to my new site.

My rootschat address is still showing on G**gle and it doesn't look very good with that 'not found' notice.

I used to have a lot of search hits to my RC site - a lot of frustrated people no doubt since November.

I'd still like an answer though  Angry
