Portrait of the genealogist as a young man

I really would welcome a bulletin from the hospital which is treating the rootschat webspace.
Do I need to plan for sad news? If so, I would like to make arrangements for the longer term by locating alternative space and loading and marketing any such new site. I have used my rootschat site as an integral part of making contacts with others researching the same names as me; this is all in suspended animation right now. And having got to page 1 of a search for "carter family" on google at the time the space went down, I've got quite a bit of ground to make up.
However, if the patient is going to recover, I would be delighted and happy to hang on for a little while longer. There's nothing like being in the house of a loved one.
