Please could someone be so kind to look for a marriage between Thomas Rolfe b c1794 and Hannah (unknown)b c1794 in Upwell. The marriage would have taken place sometime between 1814 and 1817.

carnt help with the parish reg , but a family tree on A has her down as Hannah Baker. Marriage date given as 24 November 1815 Upwell, Cambs/Norfolk

Thank you,
I was give the name Hannah Baker but I didn't want to assume that this was a definite. I really wanted to make sure there were no other Thomas and Hannah's marrying at that time. If Baker is the correct name then my research can take me back 204 years.

I carnt say its 100% accurate, but I think you might find the parish records for Upwell are kept at the museum in Wisbech, and they charge £5 an hour for you to go and have a look, and you have to book in advance.

Betty Rolfe born no date or place given
Anthony " born Upwell no date given
Joseph " born no date or place given
Bessie " born 1 April 1816 Upwell
Thomas " born 17 Oct 1818 "
Hannah " born 25 March 1821 Welney ( which is a few miles down the road from Upwell)
William Anthony Rolfe born 11 June 1823 Welney
Tabitha Rolfe born 27 Nov 1831 Upwell
Mary Ann Rolfe born 27 Nov 1833 no place given

I do have Thomas and Hannah having a son Thomas who married Rebecca Petit. These would be my gggg and ggg grandparents respectively.

Just to make sure does the tree then have Thomas and Rebecca's son Thomas Rolfe (1851) marrying Elizabeth Yews/Hughes.
And does it have Anthony Rolfe and Margaret Booty down as the original Thomas Rolfe's (1794) mum and dad?

The Rolfe family just keep coming out of the woodwork, just found another with the same info you have given me, so that's 3 in total, may be a very big coincidence. I will however keep checking until I have the proof I need.

Unless one source got the info from the other source, then someone else copies it, and before you know where you are there are so many trees with the date on that everyone assumes it must be right because everyone has got it! A bit like a lot of the trees on Ancestral File on the LDS site.
There's no substitute for checking the original.
