Hi

Is there any one out there who's researching the Treadwell family in the Kingswinford or Lower Gornal area, mainly Lillian Treadwell born 1880 who married someone with the surname Pike.

Regards  Laura c.

Hello lauracroft,
Welcome to RootsChat.

I have no connections to the family you are researching, but will try to assist you .

What kind of information are you seeking?
Census? marriage ? birth?

Could Lillian really have been called Lillie or lillie?

The only birth reg I can find 1880 is:
FreeBMD
Dec qtr 1880
West bromwich reg district
Volume 6b Page 811

Then there is the following marriage (name spellt differently -but that is not unusual)

Mar qtr 1900
Warwickshire reg district
Lily Treadwell
Albert Edward Pike
Volume 6d Page 173

Then this looks like them in 1901
6 Willoughby Cottages
Dudley Rd
Birmingham
Warwickshire
Albert E. Pike head M 19 Groom (not domestic) b. Birmingham Warwickshore
Lily Pike wife m 20 Silver Finisher (Gold) b. Wednesbury Staffs
Lillie Pike daughter 7mths b. Birmingham
RG13 Piece 2826 Folio 111 Page 17

Do you need to find Lily/lillie in earlier census??

Hi Laura, this is a bit of a long shot because you post was from 2 years ago!

But, I think your Lily Tredwell is the same person from my family tree.  I think  Lily Treadwell was my great grandmother.  She married Albert Edward Pike in February 1900.  Her fathwer was called Thomas Treadwell and she lived at Saint Marks Street, Birmingham when she got married.

Please get in touch if you are still searching.
