hi can anyone help ?I am trying to trace a richard Hughes and have founf what I think is correct although the ages differ . I have tried to follow the tips given by everyone on here so thanx for the help. Feel quite proud of myself.
what i have is 1891 RG12/2081 63 richard hughes 50 wife Mary A 40 1881RG11/2615/55 richard Hughes 37 wife Mary A 36 1871 GR/10/2725/71 richard Hughes 25 wife Mary Ann 24
It just seems strange that there is a ten year age gap in 1891 and richard could have been born anytime between 1841 and 1846.
Have i got yhe correct Richard in 1891?
thanks for taking the time to look for me wendy
By the way richards daughter Alice is my great gran
Wendy - I would say this is the same family- there is only a 3 year difference in Richard's age : in 1881 he was 37, in 1891 he should perhaps have been 47, so only 3 years, which is quite normal - many people were not certain of exactly when they had been born. The age difference between Richard and his wife is the same.
The children are all the correct ages, again +/- one or two, so yes - I would say this is correct.
