GREAVES death lookup

I cannot find the death of the following -

Sidney (Sydney) Greaves born c 1813.

His wife died 18.1.1882 and it was registered in Glossop on the death certificate she is down as 'wife of'- they lived in Woolley Bridge on the censuses.

I have not found him on the 1891 census.

Hi Mumsie,

Did he have a daughter Hannah Rose? If so, try RG12/2784 85 8 in 1891
(Shout if you don't have access to census).

Have you ruled out the death in 1894 at Ashton?

He certainly had a daughter Hannah born 1840 - no knowledge of second name but will check it out.
Ashton sounds good as I know that is the nearest hospital to Woolley Bridge (Iworked there from 1955-1965) will let you know.

Thanks ever so much - that's him because I have him born in Chadderton (whats a couple of t's or d's) in earlier censuses with his wife and with his family.  You've not only given me him but also another of his daughters - my gt gt grandmother was Hannah's sister Elizabeth.
