.... any of the children's birth certificates (those b after 1837) will give Ellen's maiden name. Solomon is the obvious one, but freebmd doesn't show a Solomon Hall bc 1849  .... but I just found this which you'll need to check for yourself (or have confirmed by someone else), but this looks possible:
