Yorkshire (ER) PR transcripts for free
« on: Tuesday 01 April 08 20:06 BST (UK) »

The Internet Archive in its "Texts" section has many Yorkshire Parish Register Society publications available for free download.  So many that there are bound to be some ER parishes, but I've not checked.

Keywords for the site's search function: Yorkshire (England) -- Genealogy Sources.  Restrict the search to media type "Texts" for better results.

Hi stovepipe, thanks for the link.

As far as I can see, the ones of interest in East Yorkshire are volume 6 - Patrington
volume 12 - Brantingham
volume 15 - Cherry Burton
volumes 24 & 48 - Howden

The remainder cover various places in West & North Yorkshire and some parishes in York itself.

Thanks for that, Bee.  I would've listed them myself but I wasn't really looking for Yorkshire parishes when I found them (most of my lot are from Sussex) so I didn't investigate further.

I think all the YPRS volumes are fairly recent additions to the archive.  It might be worth while for interested parties to check the site for more in a few months.
