Snowdon Road Hospital, Bristol

Dear Rootschatters

Is there anyone out there who has knowledge of Snowdon Road Hospital in Bristol in 1950?  I have just discovered that my g uncle died there in 1950.  I've searched on the net but it is unclear to me whether in 1950 the hospital would have catered for the mentally ill or aged patients. 

I have every confidence that someone will have the answer for me as they have done to my previous queries.

It comes up showing references to Snowdon Road Hospital, so maybe someone at the site will be able to help?
