Thanks Gadget, and it is not in the area I am seeking.I am searching for two burials of Thomas Price(1892) and Hannah Price(1903).The couple lived for many years in Dudlestone Heath, however Hannah died at Ellesmere Workhouse. She is not buried there,or anywhere in Ellesmere. There is no sign of the couple either at Dudlestone or Criftins in MI's I bought for those.

Are you sure that they had a headstone, William  Undecided

I'll check the NBI for you but not sure of the coverage for that time - be back in a while  Smiley

They wouldn't be in any MIs then  Undecided

Nothing in the NBI  Sad

Have you tried e-mailing or phoning the Shropshire Archives. They're very helpful and might know about the Ellesmere Workhouse burials.

Hannah was not buried at the Workhouse.I presume Thomas died in Dudlestone,he was still living there in 1891.RG12/2121/76/1.

Just thinking that if she wasn't at the workhouse or anywhere in Ellesmere, then it's possible that she was buried with Thomas, so it's worth concentrating on him first  Undecided

I suppose its possible Thomas could have been buried at St Martins.Thomas is given as born in Lee and Ellesmere in different Census years. In 1891 he is given as born in Frankton.

They're all in a small area - what was his birth year?

Whittington's another possible - maybe they or their family  had a plot somewhere and there was room. People did that then.
