Personally, no - but for some years I lived in Woolley Road in Maidstone and ... Woolley Road was named after the Kentish cricketer Frank Woolley (1887 - 1978).  Possibly you'll find a connection with him?

hi
There is real possibility could be connected to Frank Woolley somewhere along the line. The reason wasnt initially more specific as havent much info. Have a hunch that my gggrandad could be from Kent area. Trying to trace the family of Benjamin Woolley c 1848. Dont know who he married but on my ggrandads wedding certificate Samuel Woolley = Helen Louise Reynolds (known as Nellie),it has his dad as Benjamin Woolley,a labourer. They married in London but have inkling by checking out censuses etc that he could possibly be from Kent.

Hi
That looks like it is the one! I didnt have that info, just the wedding cert with benjamin woolley on and a hunch! Thanks so much, hopefully can find who the mother is and work back from  there. This side of family has seemed the hardest for me to track. Only had May Bedford Woolley - gran. Samuel Woolley - ggrandad, and Benjamin Woolley on cert.

Many thanks
