Trinity Rd Cemetery , Luton
« on: Friday 11 April 08 03:41 BST (UK) »

Hi ,

This is my second post on the England board . I am trying to find out about a cemetery called Trinity Rd Cemetery.

Also , is there an index that would tell me when date of burials took place and the location of grave for this cemetery ?

Is this index online ? I live in US ..

Thank you ,

Megan

There is no "Cemetry Road" in Bedford -  You must have the wrong town?  Do you mean Bedford?  Ofcause there is a cemetry in Bedford?

If you let me know the name of the town or village you are interested in I can help.  There is lots of info about really

Hi Cathy,

Thanks for the help. I am trying to locate the grave of my great grandmother . She died in Luton, Bedfordshire on 9 Feb 1950 .

Her name was Catherine Flanigan , nee McGrory .

A relative told me they thought she was buried at the above cemetery. Obviously they were wrong . Do you know what would have been the closest cemetery ?

Thanks,
Megan

Nipy,

Thanks for the reply . I know she isn't buried in Rothesay Rd. But I haven't check out St. Marys yet . Thanks.

The address at the time of her death was 65 Gardenia Ave , Luton . Is st. Marys close to that address ?

It is strange that she wasn't buried at Rothesay , because her son , Patrick Flanigan , who died at age 24 in 1938 was buried in Rothesay . And the family had the ground on that cemetery consecrated by a Catholic priest , just to have Patrick buried there. Because they said there weren't any Catholic cemeteries around .

Do you know if there is any Trinity Rd . Cemetery in England at all ?

Thanks,

Megan

Hello Megan, better news this time,I have scouted around & got you a lead Gardenia Avenue runs onto Trinity rd in Luton(& it is in the Marsh rd area ) Google map of the area & if you track along Trinity rd you can see there is a cemetery (great ah) +St Joseph's Catholic Church is 68 Gardenia Avenue,so your Great Granmother lived very near the church & Megan bet this is where she would have gone to Sunday Mass.Post code for map is - LU3 2NS. So once again good luck in your search. Nipy
