Beevor Hall Barnsley
« on: Thursday 03 April 08 12:21 BST (UK) »

I am giving a bit of help to a friend. He had x2 relatives at Beevor Hall when it was a War Hospital in WW1. On e his great gandmother was a Nurse there, Sarah (?) Hunt and the other his great grandfather Charles Henry Hibbert and In patient originally 1386 Yorkshire Light Infantry and then 138323 RAMC.

Does anyone have any int on this place pse?

We are aware that it is now a brewery headquaters.

Thanks in advance! Cheesy

beevor hall was i believe next to the old barnsley brewery across from the football ground i am pretty sure that the brewery acquired the old hall, now pulled down. the military hospital could have been part of the old beckitts or Beckett's hospital barnsley but i am not sure worth checking. also check out cannon hall barnsley it as a military museum of yorkshire regiments and a few records there site is on line
