Anyone researching or descended from this person? He's a complete mystery to me?
Thought to be from Knossington.
I am seeking his relationship to an Ann W Issitt who is the named freehold grave owner at Welford Road cemetery where Jonathan Wigginton Issitt is buried.
Ann W Issitt is thought to marry William Johnson at St Margaret's on 7th August 1834 and she dies before 1852 when William marries again.
Other family names connected with the Issitt's some how are the Abbott's and the De Quincey's.
Would like to hear from any Issitt's who may have researched them already, or anyone who can help connect the Issitt's to the Abbott's or 'De' Quincey families of Leicester, St Mary's area circa 1850 - 1900.
Many thanks for looking.

Hi Mike,
Plot 474 exactly right. That's what I found and that's what has surprised me?
It's a freehold plot owned by Ann W Issitt.
I cannot work out how these 3 people might be related, of course it could just be a burial in the wrong plot by mistake? Sarah Abbott Quincey so far as I can make out is not directly related to either Ann or Jonathan. Could be a distant connection by marriage but the whole thing intrigues me greatly.
All a bit of a mystery.
Thanks again Mike

Thanks CaroleW, that would appear to be the Jonathan Issitt in question from Knossington in 1805. Christened on 3rd November 1805.
I have a hunch that Ann W Issitt (grave owner) is a sister to Jonathan. Charles Isitt and Elizabeth had another child James christened in 1828 Knossington, so if Ann was born abt 1821 they could be her parents as well. There are an awful lot of Issitt's from Knossington and I have found some Abbott's buried in Knossington as well. It's going to take a while to sort this mystery out, since my Abbott's originated from Arnesby and the Wigston area of Leicestershire.
I have a feeling that Ann's middle name is also 'Wigginton' but I've never seen it written fully, just abreviated to 'W'.
Any new info and ideas greatly appreciated.

Hi Tricia_2
Great minds think a like! I'll see what I can find out about an Ann Wigginton Issitt and let you know how I get on.
I am fairly certain the grave plot is a family plot and that these individuals are all related by marriage, however indirectly. Just seems strange for only two occupants of this grave considering the expense of buying the freehold in the first place. Perhaps the grave plot was forgotten about over time.
