CORNISH births look-up

I'm seeking the births of Margaret Cornish (1885) and Isabella Cornish (1887) in the Ryhope area of Sunderland...

Their father was William Cornish and mother Margaret who married in Ryhope in 1882... their daughters births don't seem to appear in the indexes however, can anyone help?

PS just to make things difficult there is an Isabel born 1887 sunderland but this is William's brother Fredericks daughter.

William, Margaret and the two girls emigrated to pennsylvania in 1887 from liverpool, but William and daughter Isabella returned in 1901 to Ryhope.

Hi Ed,

I see the 1901 census shows Isabel's birth place as Hebburn (if she's the one in Ryhope with William and Mary) and her age is 15. How about this birth?

I believe South Shields is the right district for Hebburn

Yeah thats the correct Isabella living with William and Mary in 1901...

just check the online search of south tyneside website...  there's a Isabel Cornish born 1885 Jarrow...  maybe her?  but can't see her in index for 1885  Huh

well the birth was registered where it took place which was not necessarily wher ethe parents lived however it hink if you can narrow it down or even rule out these Margartes by finding them in the subsequent census

No i can't find any in the sunderland area no   Sad

the only reference i have of her existence is that my great grandmother said that Isabella had a sister who stayed out in america when she and her father came back to uk in 1901... I didn't even know her name until i found them on the shipping records, she was on there as Margaret Cornish age 2 and Isabella Cornish age Infant on 12 dec 1887
