Just to clarify, were the family living in St mary's, luton? I have found an entry for William Frederick Pakes in July 1811, but he wasnt baptised until November 06 1825, aged 14, acording to the IGI?
Is this your family?

Hi, yes that's the one, it's actually brother in laws family I'm looking at, have William Frederick born June 1811, bapt. 1825, but nothing prior to that. Nor much later than that if truth be told.
Any help much appreciated
Steve

Okie dokie Steve, I found some more kids of Samuel and Anne, but as they are member submitted, take them with a pinch of salt. Also, they are baptism records, not birth, so not necessarily year of birth. Will post them in a few minutes! Have acciddentally shut the window with their details on!
How clever of me
Matt.

There doesnt seem to be alot out there on the Pakes. Maybe if you put Will's siblings into genesreunited, you may find a few cousins that can take you back further. Has your brother-in-law thought about going to visit the church in St Mary's, from what the photos show, its quite a nice church!! Plus, you may find a few Pakes headstones in there too!!
I will let you know if I find anything else, pronto!!
Matt.

Hey Steve,
All I can see is that Charles was born 1835 in the same parish as our William. Will try and see if I can get any more on the family later on, as I am off to work now. Ciao for now!
Matt.
