Hall marriage - Biddulph
« on: Monday 07 April 08 16:08 BST (UK) »

I am hoping to find the marriage certificate of Thomas Hall and Ellen Brown which I think will be Biddulph 1831/32 as this is where they were living on the 1841 census at The Forge.  Is there anywhere on the net where I might find it, or is it a case of travelling to Staffordshire to look at the records, thanks mbee

Hiya Mbee

There wouldn't be a marriage certificate just the parish entry. On the IGI there is the marriage of a Thomas Hall to an Ellen Brown 20.4.1828 at Horton Staffordshire

If you contact the archive office for that area they might be able to send you a copy of the registry entry but usually they don't contain a lot of information except the couples name and the witnesses

mbee - I think the original parish records for Horton are at Lichfield; however there are filmed copies at Stafford & at Stoke Archives. If these are not convenient it may be possible to view a copy at an LDS family history centre near you for a small charge.
Sadly as Willow says you may learn very little more than already found.
