I am looking for the birth record of my g g g grandfather. I have information that says he was born between 1810-1812 in Forfarshire, Montrose but have been unable to obtain a certificate. Can anyone help me with this - please? Thank you.

David Reid, millworker/foreman/engineer.
b. 1810-1812, Forfarshire, Montrose.
m. July 10, 1935, Parish of Cockpen, Midlothian County to Mary Bain.
d. March 12, 1872 at 61, District of Kirkaldy, Fife, Newton of Abotshall.
Parents: David Reid and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Knowly ?) Reid.
Children: Elizabeth, David, Jesse, James, Archibald, Richard and Margaret.
